After determining that a quorum is present, the Denton Police Department Chief of Police Advisory Board of
the City of Denton, Texas will convene in a Regular Meeting on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in
Classroom C of the Public Safety Training Center at 719 E. Hickory Street, Denton, Texas at which the
following items will be considered:
1. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
A. DPD26-006 Introduction of Board members, ex-officio members, and support staff.
B. DPD26-007 Consider approval of the June 25, 2025, Minutes.
C. DPD26-008 Welcome from Interim Chief Tony Salas, review of the Board’s purpose and charge, and
signing of Confidentiality Agreement.
D. DPD26-009 Receive a presentation and discuss Texas Local Government Code Chapter 143 and
Police Meet and Confer Agreement.
E. DPD26-010 Discuss Board requests for information and agenda items for the next meeting.
Pursuant to City of Denton Ordinance 20-2085, the Chief of Police Advisory Board is not subject to the
Texas Open Meetings Act. Therefore, this meeting is not open to the public, there will be no public testimony,
the meeting will not be televised or recorded, and there will be no record of the minutes created. Despite not
being subject to the Open Meetings Act, Ordinance 20-2085 provides that the City shall post this Agenda at
