That means no public audience, no recording, and no official minutes will be kept. The agenda was posted well in advance on June 3, and the whole room carried that focused, advisory-only atmosphere you’d expect from a confidential police leadership discussion.
We kicked things off by confirming a quorum and moving through the introductions—board members, ex-officio attendees, and support staff all got a chance to put faces to names. After that, we briefly reviewed and moved to approve the minutes from the June 25, 2025 meeting.
Then Interim Chief Tony Salas stepped in to officially welcome everyone. He walked us through the board’s purpose and charge, which was a helpful grounding moment, and we all signed the required Confidentiality Agreement to keep our deliberations appropriately secured.
