Good evening and welcome to the City of Denton's Planning and Zoning Commission meeting for Wednesday, February 9, 2022. With the quorum present, I will call us to order at 6.31 p.m. First item on our agenda is the Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. and Texas Flags. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Texas flag, I pledge allegiance to thee, Texas, one state, under God, one, indivisible. Thank you. Our next thing on the agenda is items for individual consideration. We'll bring up 2A, FP22-0002, and I believe Karina is on to present. Hi, Karina. Hi. Good afternoon. Good evening. Karina Maldonado, Associate Planner. So let me go ahead and share my screen. All right. Hopefully you can see that. We can. Okay. So the item before you today is a final plaque to create one law of record and to dedicate easements. The property is generally located on the south side of East McKinney Street, approximately 530 feet east of the intersection of Mayhill Road and East McKinney Street. Staff is recommending denial of this request as it does not meet the criteria for approval. However, the applicant has requested a 30-day extension and staff has no objection to this, which could be granted to a date of March 9th, 2022. And with that, I can take any questions. Thanks, Karina. Commissioner Smith? Make a motion to approve the extension to date certain of March 9th. Okay. Hold on. You didn't press your motion button. It doesn't allow us to. It's not allowing us to. Okay. Very good. Hold just a second. Rachel, I just want to make sure there's no one on the line for this. It is an individual consideration item. That's correct. No one on the line right now. Okay. Thank you. Commissioner Smith? Make a motion to approve the extension to date certain of March 9th. Okay. We've got a first for that extension approval. Commissioner Cole? Second. First and a second to grant that extension to date certain of 3/9/22. Any discussion? All right, let's vote via roll call. Commissioner Pruitt? Aye. Commissioner Smith? Aye. Commissioner McDade? Aye. Commissioner Cole? Aye. Commissioner Villarreal? Aye. Commissioner Anderson? Aye. And Chair is an aye. That motion carries 7-0. That will move us to 2B, PP 22-0001. And Julie Wyatt is here. Well, not here. Out there. Hi, Julie. Hi. Good evening. Hello. Let me share my screen. Okay. Are y'all able to see the proposed plaque? All right. So this item is PP 22-0001. It is a preliminary plaque for one of our recently approved horizontal multifamily projects. The property is located at the intersection of Loop 288 and Elm on the north side of town town. They do have some additional comments to work through, so staff is recommending denial. However, we have no objection to their requested extension to March 9th, 2022. And I'll be happy to answer any questions. Thank you, Julie. Any questions for Julie on this? Rachel, anyone on the line for this item? No, ma'am. We are all clear. Very good. Thank you. Then I will call on Commissioner Cole. The one on 30-day extension? The request is to date certain of March 9th. I move for a date certain of March 9th. Okay. And Commissioner Villarreal? I second. Okay. Thank you. We've got a first and a second to grant that extension request to a date certain of March 9th. Any discussion? Okay. Seeing none, we will take a vote via roll call. Commissioner Pruitt? Aye. Commissioner Smith? Aye. Commissioner McDade? Aye. Commissioner Cole? Aye. Commissioner Villarreal? Aye. Commissioner Anderson? Aye. And Chair has an aye. That motion carries 7-0. Next is concluding items. Is there anything that anyone has on concluding items? Okay, the only thing I want to mention is that there is a DCRC meeting scheduled for Friday for those commissioners who are on that. I believe that's a 10 a.m. start. And then Monday, the joint meeting with Council is 10 a.m. as well. And I'm sure the invites are out there and we'll get more information as we move forward. Okay. That is the end of our agenda. I will adjourn us at 6.36 p.m. Thank you. [BLANK_AUDIO]
