It’s always a bit of a plot twist when you plan your day around a public meeting, but I appreciated that the Office of the City Secretary had already posted the notice back on July 16, 2026, so the cancellation wasn’t a last-minute scramble. The certificate of cancellation was neatly signed and dated, confirming everything was handled properly and directing anyone who needed updates to the City of Denton official website.
Since the session was officially called off, there wasn’t much to do but step back outside and head out. It’s one of those civic moments where you show up expecting debates, committee discussions, and public comments, and instead you just get a peaceful morning and a straightforward heads-up from the city.
